The Blue Zones Project® is a five-year well-being improvement initiative brought to Fort Worth by Texas Health Resources and other businesses and organizations.
The goals of the privately-funded program are to generate savings in medical expenses, lower obesity and smoking rates, increase vegetable consumption, and increase physical activity among residents. To reach these goals, the Blue Zones team works with targeted areas of the community, including schools, restaurants, employers, grocery stores, and faith-based organizations. With more than 65,000 participants to date, Fort Worth is well on its way to becoming a certified Blue Zones Community by the end of 2018. Join the movement at LiveLongFortWorth.com.
